Sec: Man's Inhumanity Against Man

Oops!!  In my rush to find a book for the teacher, I forgot a couple of
things in my post.  First of all the subject - now corrected.  I also did
not mention that she is looking for a picture book.  Sorry for my oversight.
I have received the title I was looking for, Smoky Night by Eve Bunting.
Following is the original post.

Oh Great Ones,

I come to you again seeking assistance.  Our high school reading teacher has
just asked for a picture book that deals with prejudice or racism to go
along with her unit "man's inhumanity against man."  I thought of one book
but can't think of the title.  It was about riots.  I believe that it was
told from the viewpoint of a mother and son witnessing the riot.  Does
anyone know this title or the titles of any other book that might fit her
topic?
