AskERIC and LM_NET

As many of you know, I was part of the team that started AskERIC.  It is =
really hard to believe that the US Department of Education decided not =
continue its funding.  Here's a service that helps thousands of =
teachers, teachers in training, and parents each month - a service that =
costs a small fraction of the money that goes to many other Department =
of Education programs that most educators know little or nothing about =
and use even less.

Fortunately, the Information Institute of Syracuse under the leadership =
of Virtual Dave Lankes doesn't accept defeat easily.  They are =
innovative and creative - and I fully expect The Educator's Reference =
Desk to continue to meet needs as well as to forge new ground.=20

So, three cheers for the folks at the Information Institute of Syracuse. =
 We at LM_NET appreciate all your efforts to improve education in this =
country, and we are ready, willing and able to help you continue to do =
so.
