off topic: Norwegian cruise line

Have any of you traveled with Norwegian Cruise line, specifically the
Vancouver Alaskan trip?
If so, can you tell me the approximate cost of the land excursions, how much
tip money to bring and if formal wear is needed?
    ...My husband retired after 34 years with the company.  His gift was an
Alaskan cruise.  We depart June 6, 2004...We are still reeling from the
surprise!
