TARGET: Online book discussion groups

Due to budgetary and other considerations, my district is discontinuing its
high school Battle of the Books contest.  While a few libraries in my
district have started individual library reading clubs targeting readers,
we would also like to develop an online book discussion group that students
can participate in.  Our Network Services Dept will handle the tech
aspects.  Is anyone currently doing this and, if so, can you pass along any
joys/heartaches or tip/concerns that you have encountered.  I will post a
hit if I get enough responses.
