Hi, I am in a library media master's program and have an assignment to plan and implement a reading promotion program for a library. I have several examples from which to choose already, however, I was just wondering what other programs might be out there. So....what do you do to promote reading in your library? I will post my hits. TIA Here are my responses: Hi, check out the various articles (don't miss the archives) at my site: http://www.bellaonline.com/site/librarysciences Hi, You might find the book " Ready To Go Reading Incentive Programs for Schools and Libraries" to be helpful in gaining ideas, structuring programs etc. It was Published by Neal Schuman in 1998. It includes descriptions of programs as well as samples of parent letters, record keeping sheets and celebration activities. Have a look at the info on my BookSplash program at http://dogw.tripod.com/port_libraria/. Deb Waugh Librarian/Instructional Technologist The Emmett G.
