GEN:ALA membership

I know we have discussed the pros and cons of membership before, but I am
wondering what the difference is in a library's membership and an
individual's membership. Apparently, my school library is a member. I've
gotten a renewal notice. It only has the library's name, not the librarian.
I'd like to know what the benefits are to the library vs. the individual (or
can individuals even join as individuals). I am trying to decide whether to
renew the library's membership or just join myself on my own.
