I agree -- I have a funny feeling that the real objection is that
Scholastic carries Harry Potter and has therefore already sold out to
the Dark Side - that the agenda isn't as cut and dried as keeping
whatever other "objectionable" books from getting in the hands of the
students. Perhaps they would love to be able to claim that they've
convinced X number of schools to cease dealing with Scholastic in their
quest...

James Dobson made me think of the emails that have swirled the
internet
about J.K. Rowling that date back to the satirical (and bogus) article
in
The Onion.
Sure enough a search turned up the "rest of the story" on this email.

The email did not originate with James Dobson or his organization. It
represents someone's interpretation of some of Dobson's comments.
