Can you pass it on to your teachers?  If it's fiction, do you have a
"Teacher's Lounge" bookshelf where everyone leaves a book when they pick one
up (you might want to start one with several left-over paperbacks, etc.).

Can you give it to a local college, university, doctor's office waiting
room, homeless shelter, women in safe-home's library, public library, etc.?

Someone will surely find something worthwhile...if not, take it to a
"half-price book" store and get something back from the sell of it...or
trade it in for a used copy of something...

Try Amazon.com's sell-a-book area--you can do resale on the book and almost
get the paid price, if it's popular.  It costs nothing to list it.

Sell it on eBay...

Garage sale...

Just some ideas...
