LM_NET Archive



The embargo is the same, but the speed of processing is not. If
people are noticing lags in most/many Proquest titles, it's not
unreasonable to assume that weeklies are included in the problems. If
most/many Ebsco titles appear to be current, then Newsweek should be
current too. There are also differences on when an item is indexed.
Does hard copy arrive in the mail, or are electronic images sent from
the publisher? There could be problems with both methods of delivery.
I'll add that this level of detail is not always known by customer
services.  There could also be problems in processing the files for
the databases. This happens to everyone from time to time.
