I'm trying to put several things together and the current discussion reguarding books with gay topics fits right into this. With selection, I understand it is an ultimate in balence. You have your community and budget to start with and then to make the most of your selections within that. There are reviews and lists and other aspects of collection building. I would love some comments that take this struggle from the theoretical position to what is actually done. Also, I have no idea how I would put this into the HIT, but I would greatly appreciate it if you could share with me any written selection policies you have and also policies on controversial books.
