I had to buy a tie to be interviewed for my job - I  hadn't owned one since
the 60's. I thought I would hate the dress code but now actually look
forward to "dressing up" but the minute I get home - sweats it is! Students
have also told us they prefer teachers to look "professional". It is nice to
teach where students don't wear hats or hoods or have walkmans attached to
ears.
