Netters,

I'm hoping some high school library teachers are aware of how the upper
levels of French are handled in your schools.

We are facing a situation where there are not enough qualified French
students to warrant an AP French class next year, so we've resigned
ourselves to the fact that our students will have to take French V instead.
But now there is talk that the French IV and V classes will be combined and
the 5 or 6 students that should be taking Fr V will have to be in the same
class as 21 Fr IV students. Does anyone do this and does it work well/meet
the needs of all students? We are looking for a good argument to give these
French V kids their own class. Is this too much to ask? Do people feel
that they can successfully teach both together or not?

Thanks for any comments you can give me.
