Target: General: Backpack storage

My second request today is for suggestions as to what to do with =
backpacks in the library. Some kids have lockers, some don't, but all of =
them carry backpacks around.  We do not allow them in the library at =
either our jr high or high school.  Unfortunately, we don't have a place =
to put them. One of our principals has asked me to come up with a plan =
to store them when the kids come in so they're not a safety hazard, =
tripping over them, etc. He suggested shelves of some sort. Space is at =
a premium. Do you have any suggestions as to where I can have kids place =
their backpacks when they come to the library.  Thanks for all your =
help!
