I volunteer at the Family History Library and we have just installed two new
HP 1300 LaserJet printers. The one connected, via an automatic switcher, to
the HP/Win2000 and the two Dell/WinXP-Home machines are printing just fine.
The new driver was installed from the CD that came with the printer(s).

But... the printer connected to a HP Vectra 500/Win95 and to a Dell
OptiPlex/Win95 seems not to be recognized. The driver was installed from the
CD as above, and the HP1300 is recognized as the default printer, but it
fails when you press Enter from the Print dialog box.

Because I don't have the appropriate connector, I can't test the computer
direct to the printer (instead of through an automatic switch box), but I've
tried everything else I can think of. Anyone have a bright idea of what
next? I will try to get a Centronics male to DB25 male converter and see if
the direct connect works.

Thanks
