One of our 8th grade teachers requested help finding a website that would allow his students to research their family tree as an activity to go with a novel they are reading. I know nothing about genealogy, but I always thought that was a pretty complicated process (as well as a sensitive one with some families). I was wondering if there might be some kind of simulation activity out there that would give the kids the same type of experience, but by assigning them a fictional ancestor to research. Anyone done anything like this? Suggestions? TIA! Shayne Russell Library Media Specialist Kenneth R.
