Hello, everyone! My school may be doing some remodeling in the library. I'm looking for advice or warnings on two topics: 1. I have one wall with windows and direct exposure to sunlight. We have had some fading of books, so I usually have to keep my (old and thick!) curtains closed. Does anyone know a way to let in some light without damaging the books? I'd like to brighten up the room, but I'm not sure if there are any glare-reducing shades or something that might work. 2. I'd like to switch to carpet, and the administrator suggested carpet tile squares which can be replaced if they get stained. He's not sure how carpet would hold up in the library - we don't have a lot of eating/drinking in here, but we do move tables and racks around a lot. Does anyone have experience with this? Thanks as always for sharing your experience - LM_NET is amazing! Beth Meister, Librarian Yeshiva of Central Queens, NY librarybeth@yahoo.com __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
