Subject: Elem - Australian animal books

SNIP>>> I am looking for a series of individual books that features
Australian
animals (for the elementary level) . . . not just the traditional koala and
kangaroo, but also, the unique birds, land animals and sea life. >>>UNSNIP

Hi Heidi and any others who might be interested in books about Australian
fauna,

The leading publisher in Australia for this type of material is Steve Parish
Publishing. I took a selection of their material with me to the MEMO
conference last year, so if you can track down anyone that was there – or
maybe were of the lucky few who had the books donated to their schools –
they can give you an idea of the high quality of the material.

Their website is:
http://www.steveparish.com.au/

There are a number of distributors of Steve Parish Publishing in the USA,
but unfortunately I don’t have their details to hand.

Hope this is helpful.
