TARGET designing a new library

Hi, I've been gone a long time from LM_NET.  Now I need your collective
advice and wisdom.  Our middle school will be building a new media
center (a surprise addition in the bond issue).  Please give me advice
on what not to forget, items to think about, and any pertinent
information you think I should have.  I know I don't want architects
designing my library without my input and was told we are to meet quite
soon.  TIA for all your wonderful tips and advice.
