Tar: Wood vs. Metal shelving

Hello all,

I need to find justification for either wood or metal shelving.  ASAP!
We are purchasing a library full of shelving and want the best product,
but would prefer to pay less.  What have been your experiences with
powder coated metal shelving and Brodart solid maple wood shelving as
far as scratching, warping, longevity, asthetics, anything else that you
can think of pro or con.  I will be happy to post a hit, but I need a
response by Wednesday evening.
