Good Afternoon, My principal has asked me to recommend a portable PA system for purchase by our school. We need a system of at least 200 watts of output power and at least two speakers. It will be used for music and speech for audiences of up to 500 people. Our priorities are portability, reliability, and audience coverage, in that order. I have some ideas, but what would be most helpful is to hear from others who use systems like this already. What are preferences and pitfalls among the various systems available? Please feel free to respond off list to help avoid any commercial conflicts of interest.
