Hi everyone, This weekend I've been experimenting with a variety of ways to create RSS feeds for discussion lists. These feeds allow Internet users to access list messages through news aggregating tools like bloglines.com or amphetadesk. They also allow you to create a newswire-like feed of your list's most recent messages and add them to any website. After a lot of trial and error, I've managed to create two newswire feeds for my lists, WWWEDU (run on yahoogroups) and DIGITALDIVIDE (run on Listserv software). I've written a detailed description of my email-to-RSS feed experiments on my blog, which I'd like to invite you to visit: http://www.edwebproject.org/andy/blog/ I'd suggest you read the February 28 entry ("Experimenting with Email-to-RSS Syndication") before reading the Feb 29 entry ("Improved Email-to-RSS Feeds") so you can follow the process in the order in which it happened, and even try it out for yourself with your own lists and websites. I'd be interested in hearing what you think. Thanks! ac ------------------------------------------------- Andy Carvin Program Director EDC Center for Media & Community acarvin @ edc . org http://www.digitaldividenetwork.org ------------------------------------------------- =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-=-=- All LM_NET postings are protected by copyright law.
