Hi, I have worked in two K-5 schools. One gave library grades, the other did not. The grades were Outstanding, Satisfactory, or Unsatisfactory. All of the specials graded using the same 3 choices. Currently I work in a middle school and do not give library grades. I have mixed feelings about this issue. While it is tough to grade students that you see once or week, or in my case, once every other week, I do feel that grades give library classes a sense of importance. I'm sure that many library media specialists give grades, while many others do not. Good luck with your concerns, Diane Diane Lungaro, librarian dianelu@yahoo.com Sussex Middle School Sussex-Wantage Regional Schools District Sussex, NJ 07461 --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!?
