Hi folks, I'm feeling overwhelmed and brain-dead this week, so I'm hoping you can = help me with a request from a student. This young man, not one of my = most frequent and eager patrons, really enjoyed Bruce Coville's Jeremy = Thatcher, Dragon Hatcher. It's great to see him so excited by a book- = I'd like to offer him more dragon stories to read. But, after talking = with him yesterday, I determined that we don't have any other books that = meet the criteria he's looking for- less dragon slaying and more dragon = rearing. I told him I'd turn to my friends on this listserv to see if = they had any suggestions. So, any suggestions? I've thought of Anne McCaffrey's YA Pern series, and Paolini's Eragon, = but am hoping for some suggestions falling more within an AR ZPD of 3.5- = 5.0. We will be ever so appreciative of any suggestions!=20 Thanks, Tina Jensen Media Specialist Early Childhood Center=20 East Union Elementary =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-=-=- All LM_NET postings are protected by copyright law.
