Thank you for the HUNDREDS of replies I rec'd! I have compiled them into a
Word document, (first DELETING your names, addresses and schools, of
course), and sent to my friend. He will be so pleased and impressed! Thank
you again for your help. Nearly every school library I heard from has a
Bible in it and many have other religious texts as well. Several people
mentioned that their Bibles had been stolen and a few people even have AR
tests on the Bible (which were rarely taken). Many people said that
students were impressed and surprised to find the Bible in the 200's section
when a Dewey lesson or tour was given. My friend had questions about the
legality and how common was the practice of having a Bible in a school
library and this will help answer his query! Thank you again!
