The Association for Library Service to Children (ALSC) will
announce its 2004 Book/Media Award winners (Newbery,
Caldecott, Batchelder, Sibert, Belpre, Carnegie) during the
American Library Association (ALA) Midwinter Meeting next
week in San Diego.

ALA Awards Press Conference
Monday, January 12, 8:45-9:45 a.m. (Pacific Standard Time)
Convention Center, Room 6 D/E

The winners will be posted on the ALSC Web site following
the press conference. Look for a link to all of the winners
on the ALSC homepage under the heading "Breaking News." A
link to the winners will also be on the "Literary and
Related Awards" main page at:
