Need: Second Grade Book Club

Do any of you have a book club for second graders at your school. My school
only goes
up to second grade and I am interested in starting a book club for some of my
higher
readers.

How does the book club work? How often do you meet? Do you buy the books for
the
children (in paperbacks)? Has it worked well at your school?

Any advice would be appreciated!
