Target: World Almanac Dictionary Kit

I work in a K-2 building. I would like to start doing some reference skill
work with my first and second graders. Has anyone used the Dictionary Kit
available from World Almanac? It says it is for use with grades 1-3. Is it
worthwhile? I have VERY limited funds and am hesitant to spend $300+ on this unless

am pretty sure it is valuable. Thanks for any help you can offer.
