Agreed. It takes longer to empty the spam folder than the quick check for false positives. Now, if I could figure out how to get outlook to just dump the spam folder when closing..... I'm using Spambayes' Outlook plugin at work, and it's quite amazing. It has reduced the time needed to double check and eliminate spam from about 30-40 minutes a day to 5 minutes (at the most). There are a few errors each month on either side, but it makes the problem manageable. Some email programs are beginning to build in Bayesian filters. I know of Eudora and Mozilla Email that the have them built in.
