Agreed. It takes longer to empty the spam folder than the quick check for
false positives. Now, if I could figure out how to get outlook to just dump
the spam folder when closing.....

If your email program has a Bayesian filter that will work with it, it will
divert 98-99% of the spam, p*rn or otherwise into a spam folder. I'm using
Spambayes' Outlook plugin at work, and it's quite amazing.  It has reduced
the time needed to double check and eliminate spam from about 30-40 minutes
a day to 5 minutes (at the most).  There are a few errors each month on
either side, but it makes the problem manageable. Some email programs are
beginning to build in Bayesian filters. I know of Eudora and Mozilla Email
that the have them built in.
