LM_NET Archive



Lexiles, reading levels, etc. are all tools -
dependence on any one system is a problem -
Limiting any student's ability to read what they would
like whether it be lexiles, reading levels, etc. is
very upsetting -

I have heard of media specialists rearranign their
book collections by lexiles ---

If anyone thinks this type of action will create
lifelong readers, foster a love of reading, and
encourage students to be supporters of libraries and
reading when they graduate --

I think they are sadly mistaken.
