(Please forgive me if this was posted two or three times! Having serious
problems with school web email and finally gave up and switched to home!)
I just finished "The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency." I read it because I
heard that the University of Tennessee has a program for all incoming
freshmen called "The Life of the Mind" and this is the book that will be
discussed this year. (http://chancellor.tennessee.edu/lifeofthemind/) I was
just curious, and I am so glad because I really enjoyed the book. I
definitely plan to read the other books about Mma. Ramotswe.
Coincidentally, my sister also just read the book, and she commented on her
observation that it doesn't matter where we live, we're all facing similar
life experiences. As a single woman, I personally loved some of Precious
Ramotswe's observations about men and people in general! I would definitely
recommend this book.
Thanks to this list, I am now over halfway through "The Secret Life of Bees"
