The Google and Open Worldcat project has been mentioned on the list several times. Well, after six months, from what I can tell many of the promised two million records are still not in the Google database. However, after having access to them for just a few days, Yahoo added all two million records to their database. As I've said several times, Yahoo is very serious about web search and needs to be used just like we use Google. It's not a zero sum game, especially for the info pro. We need more than one general web engine I have more comments (about the project in general) and links to a new article about the Yahoo/OCLC content on ResourceShelf. http://www.resourceshelf.com/2004/07/two-million-open-worldcat-records-hit.html cheers, gary -- -- Gary D.
