I am trying to decide between a desktop and a laptop for my twins as they enter college. My older son, already in college, has a 4-yr-old desktop which he could actually pass down to one of the kids, as he needs a laptop now. I am wondering about the security of a laptop in a dorm. What are some ways to keep them from being stolen? For those of you who have sent their kids to college recently, which kind did you buy, desktop or laptop? You should know that the twins are going to the same college as their older brother in Arizona. (We live in Pennsylvania.)This is one of the reasons I am seriously considering a laptop. Also, there is a possibility they may be moving out of the dorm next year. What does your experience advise?
