Trying to find a source for my staff to use to create and host their own school-related websites. We have district and school webpages , but staff do not have access to update them. Sites need to be very easy to access and update (i.e. no special FTP, etc) so teachers could post daily homework, etc. Templates would be great too, since I don't think many on our staff know HTML. FREE would be ideal, with as little advertising as possible (I know that's very unlikely!) A February 2002 posting in the Archives gave this list for FREE site hostings for teachers : www.myschoolonline.com www.teacherweb.com www.angelfire.lycos.com www.homestead.com When I checked today, MySchoolOnline, Homestead, and TeacherWeb are no longer FREE sites. I'm also concerned about Angelfire being blocked by our I-Gear filter. I know about Scholastic's Teacher pages, and I will make that info available to my staff, but I was hoping for others (maybe a little less commercial!). Any thoughts? Thanks! (I'll post a HIT if enough interest ) ********************************************************* Suzanne Ng, Librarian South Mountain Elem.
