There was not alot of response, but this is what came in:
Web page:
Have you tried Arachnophilia? It is a free downloadable HTML editor and I use it
for my web page. You will need a basic understanding of HTML, but once you have
that (available on many how-to websites) it is easy to use. I have not used Front
Page, but I understand there is a high learning curve and it adds a lot of extra
code that makes the pages slow to load. You can design pages in Word as well, but
again it adds a great deal of extra code that slows the load of the page.
Arachnophilia is "lean and mean" and I love it.
davesite is a good one but there are others, too.
Some kid friendly sites are:

Arachnophilia is very easy to use, and the price is definitely right.

Software:
I have personally looked at Typing Pal Online. You can try a demo:
http://www.typingpal.com/

Also, I do not like the new Kid Pix Deluxe 3. Too flashy and confuses kids in the
lower grades. They get pulled in by all the bells and whistles and it is hard for
them to stay on task. Plus, I still have problems with compatibility with WIN XP,
esp. with Quick Time.

We use Numbers Undercover for grades 1-3. It is put out by Sunburst and focuses on
time, money, skip counting, and estimating. For typing, we use Type to Learn, also
by Sunburst. Hope this helps!

Our computer teacher, grades Pre K - 4 recommends the following: "Math blaster,
math zoo, mavis typing, story book weaver are the best" Story sticker is good too.
