I am one of those with long hair and wear it up most of the time at work an=
d I have glasses because lasiks is not an option for me. I do wear sequi=
ned sweaters, funky hats, head gear and rather unstuffy things around my =
kids. They and the parents have come to expect this of me since I began =
in an elementary library last year after 10 years in middle school specia=
l ed. I wear trendy shoes and the kids always comment on my clothing. T=
here is one thing they don't tell you in library school...Shave your legs=
every day if you in an elementary setting. The kids lean up against my =
leg as I read and they have no qualms in telling me when I haven't had ti=
me to shave.

ian action figure (mine sits proudly on the circ desk in the high school =

rk properly anymore!). I think I would have gotten my principal's support=
for being on the show since she has tried several times to get on "Survi=
vor"! And an aside to Dr. O'Grady - congrats on your "studly" new form - =
from a former pupil (YA lit at MCC)!
