National Board Certification

I am currently finished my second year as the  Librarian in a K-2 school. I
am also in my last year ingraduate school in online classes. I am
considering trying for National Boards when I graduate. For those that have
already passed National Boards, will I be at a disadvantage teaching in a
K-2 school setting? Also, does anybody have any suggestions for help?
