Hello everyone, I am looking for feedback on the effect of school wide =
use of laptops on the media center program. To explain, we just learned =
that our high school will pilot a program for our district whereby all =
1600 of our students will be issued wireless laptops which can be used =
anywhere anytime on campus and at home. We are about to begin our =
second year of operation as a new school and our teachers already use =
wireless laptops and carts. Fortunately we have a dedicated tech person =
who deals with all this. I currently have 47 desktop computers for =
student use in the media center and am wondering if there is anyone out =
there who is in a "laptop for every student" environment who can give me =
input on things I need to consider as I plan for the upcoming year. I =
forsee a tremendous change in my program as many of the traditional =
media services will be affected. Advice and professional literature =
would be greatly appreciated. =20
