It cracks me up that the stereotype of the silent library continues even in my school where the library is NEVER quiet. We always have 15-20 kids in working on assignments and studying (of sorts) over and above whatever classes happen to be booked in. This is in a library that is supposed to seat maximum 70. Do the math - 2 classes of 30 each plus the 15-20 extra with 70 chairs. We usually have some kids sitting on the floor in the various different corners around the room. Silent? HAH!
