We are looking for a lower school librarian (grades pre-K through 5). The
Barstow School is a private, pre-K through 12 college preparatory school
located in South Kansas City. I couldn't possibly recommend it as fully
as it merits! It is a wonderful place to work. The lower school library
has been on a fixed schedule, but there is some (albeit limited) interest
in pursuing a flexible schedule. We have a very nice budget and quite a
bit of autonomy within the school. THe benefits are quite nice and a new
salary structure will be in place in the 2004-2005 school year, making our
school's pay highly competitive in the Kansas City metro area. The lower
school library is heavily used and the person coming in will need to be
enthusiastic and gregarious and willing to collaborate extensively with
the lower school teachers as well as with myself in the upper school. If
