Some people requested a hit so here goes.
Big 6 seemed to be the overwhelming response of what people use.
Others mentioned making up their own 4 or 5 step process
like
1. What is my topic
2. Where do I get resources
3. How will I gather the information
4. How will I put my information together
5. Evaluate the finished product

People also mentioned Infoquest -- The Handy 5 ---Flip It
Jill Brown from Buffalo mentioned her own way
1. What do I need to know? =20
   2. What am I going to do with the information?
   3. List 4-5 keywords. Add as you go.
   4. List 4-5 possible resources. Think outside the
box.
   5. Write down biblio info; take notes
   6. Organize and prepare. Redo and edit. Proof.

We usually require 1 print, 1 database and 1 website.
I encourage students to start with the print
resources.

Joyce and Tallman's I-Search model was also mentioned.

hope this helps!
Thanks
