Hi, My state department recommends replacing five percent of the collection every year to keep it current and meet the needs of the community. Using that and the School Library Journal's report on the average cost of books, I can make a solid dollar request to update the book collection. But, I need data, reports, something to get a dollar amount for supplies (paper, light bulbs, etc.), technology, maintenance - non-book "stuff". Of course, I will write what I DO spend but formal ammunition would be very good. When I have my report done, I will email it to anyone who is interested. Please reply off-list.
