GEN: ?s about automation of k-2 library of 5000 books

Hello Folks,

My principal asked me yesterday to get a proposal on her desk by Friday
afternoon for automation of my k-2 library of 5000 books.  The other schools
in the district use Sagebrush's Spectrum. We will buy their software and
have them do the retrospective conversion.

Any thoughts on whether we should go for the web based version or the
Pinpoint package?

One of the specific requests my principal had is how many "woman hours" it
would take of the district tech people and library staff's time to support
the automation/conversion process.  Never having done this before, I haven't
a clue.

Anybody have any figures to share with me?
