Thanks to everyone for your quick responses! Culturegrams turned out to =
be the best choice for our needs (although the paper edition is no =
longer available).

Check out www.enchanted <http://www.enchantedlearning.com> learning.com =
. I also previewed a trial from <http://www.culturegrams.com> =
www.culturegrams.com, which has a Kids Edition written at an elementary =
level, although some of it was still a bit above some of our 2nd =
graders.

Might want to have a look at http://www.kids.gov and look under =
Geography and under Global Village. I also did a search for countries. =
The Peace Corps part offers nice stats in an easy chart for kids on the =
countries where Peace Corps workers are. Also found this at KidsClick =
--librarian selected <http://kidsclick.org/midcoun.html> =

Hello. I think you should look into www. <http://www.culturegrams.com> =
culturegrams.com - the kids editions is written on a 3-4 grade level, =
but I think a second grader could read it with some help. You can ask =
for a free trial to use the online version and see if it is something =
you may want. They also have the paper edition of the country pamphlets =
you might be able to order.

Try enchanted learning website. This contains info at a primary level =
for China, Japan, Mexico, and a few others. I use this with some 2nd =
graders with certain countries.

try w <http://www.enchantedlearning.com> ww.enchantedlearning.com and =
