Target: Dividing a collection and new barcodes for new location

Dear Librarians,
I am in a primary school library in one building. The Middle/High School
library is in another building. My barcodes say 3ELEM.... and the other one
is 3HIGH.... But now we are going to open a third building with just the
upper elementary. I will have to split my collection to send to the new
building. Should we set up a completely separate OPAC/Circulation Plus or
should we now combine all libraries on the same OPAC/Circulation Plus and
have a new barcode that reads 3MIDD or something like that.(We use
Follett's). If anyone has had experience with separating collections, could
you pass on your words of wisdom?
