Dear LM_Netters, I have recently been teaching a professional development course in which we have been using Proquest Platinum Full Text database and all of its features in great detail. I will add that I have been a very satisfied customer of Proquest since 1996; since it became available on the web. My primary concern is that periodicals, i.e., Newsweek, journals like Phi Delta Kappan, are not posted in a timely manner. The Newsweek links for March 22 are not yet available (Friday, a.m.), when March 29 is already in the library in paper copy. Phi Delta for March was received in paper copy on March 3, but is not available on Proquest yet (March 26) This is not the timeliness that I remember as a hallmark of Proquest in past years and I wonder if any of you subscribers are noticing a diminished service with respect to this product? Sincerely, Marianne Haggerty Library/Media Supervisor Billerica Public Schools Billerica, MA 01821 mhaggerty@billerica.mec.edu =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-=-=- All LM_NET postings are protected by copyright law.
