Status of Madeline L'Engle

Last night at a dinner gathering someone told me
Madeline L'Engle had passed away. I checked her
homepage this morning, and there was a health update
that said she has entered 2004 "happy and healthy"- I
checked several other author bio sites and found
nothing to confirm this- have I missed something that
happened recently?Grace
