Middle School Summer Reading Programs w/Public Libraries?

Dear friends,

I need to hear from middle school library media specialists who have
instituted summer reading programs in partnership with their local public library.
Specifically, I need to hear from those of you who have specific documentation
(numbers, tests, etc.) showing how these summer reading programs impacted
learning with your students.  It could be through surveys, STAR test results, SRI
test results, or other measures.  I need real stories and hard evidence that
they make a difference in the area of student learning

I am trying to start a program this summer in my town with 7th grade
