TAR: Elementary book/library clubs

Hello,

I am working on a proposal for a book/literature club for grades 3-5 after school. 
Has anyone done this and could you give me ideas for what you have done? I want to 
create a newsletter with book revciews, etc. that they make, read new literature 
together that I can't do in the regular class, etc.-
I checked the archives but only found things for MS and HS- not elementary.
