* So, do you trust someone to protect you from spam faxes when they've been
accused of spamming folks with faxes? :)

I think I would. It takes one to know one. They would definitely know all
the tricks!

Subject: Re: Info about The Fax Police

Hope this is deep enough to qualify as 'authoritative'. :)

 From <http://www.junkbusters.com/links.html>:
``Fax me not'' of Littleton, Colorado calls itself ``The Fax Police.'' For
a fee, it offers to notify fax senders that their faxes are unwanted and to
take legal action against them if they continue. This is the first clear
example we have seen of private enforcement services against junk
communications. They don't appear to have a Web site, but they offer a
fax-back information sheet (800-747-1747, ext. 7).

A company called New Horizon Lending in Littleton is doing business as
FaxSource... Denver BBB shows a note that the FCC issued an official
citation for possible violations of TCPA (anti-spam faxing). [Note, the
Denver BBB website is kinda goofy, I can't just include a direct link,
you'll have to do your own search for FaxSource from here
<http://www.denver.bbb.org/search.html>.]

The FCC document is here:
<http://www.fcc.gov/eb/Orders/2003/DOC-234203A1.html>. As the Denver BBB
notes, there doesn't seem to be any follow-up to this posted.

Fax Me Not, in turn, is a service of FaxSource:

FaxSource says <http://www.faxsource.com/> "Fax Source specializes in
rapid, efficient message delivery - by fax by email or by phone. We are
leaders in high volume message distribution. From fax and email broadcasts
to custom, integrated applications, we make it happen so you get results."

So, do you trust someone to protect you from spam faxes when they've been
accused of spamming folks with faxes? :)
