LM_NETters, I need your help -- one of my English teachers (9 standard is regular 9th grade English -- not advanced or honors) is looking for a modern play with a happy ending. He would also like it to be multicultural if possible -- here's his quest > I'm doing the classic play "Our Town" now. The kids are liking it. It is > something that has pretty common language, and they enjoy reading aloud > once in awhile. > > How about a modern play to read in 9 standard. I did "Romeo and Juliet," > which they liked despite the difficulty with Shakespearean language. It > would be great to have something with two teens who fall in love > (both "Romeo" and "Town" have that in common), has some humor, and a > happy ending. Tragedy rules at the end or "Romeo" and "Town..." I'll post a hit after Spring Break.
